Boss Cowman | Corn hole Tournament
I’m going to start this blog post off by saying the obvious. The Annual Cornhole tournament put on by the Placemakers Co-Op is a pretty big deal. It’s quickly becoming a Boss Cowman highlight for many.
There were seventeen teams that participated in the double-elimination style tournament. Each team paid an entry fee of $20 in hopes to take home the first-place prize of a new set of corn hole boards.
Many people worked together to make the event happen: Shasta Alexander did all the marketing and Dantae Anderson put together the beer garden. Andrea Kendall and I (Brittany Schnell, Brittanyography) photographed the event. Bruce Kimmens made sure the whole thing happened, registered the teams and kept score. The Shockleys were impressively good throughout the entire tournament- taking home the prize in the end.
First place went to, drum roll, please!!! Team Shockers!! They took home the Hausauer Seamless Products boards and a $150 cash prize.
In other news, a set of bikes were donated to the Placemakers Co-Op by Charlie and Linda Hammond to be sold on a silent auction coordinated by Judy Larson. Proceeds from the auction went to Santa’s Workshop.
The cornhole tournament was a smash hit and is an event that I will look forward to every year. I’m excited to be part of a new tradition.
